The Valletta Pageant of the Seas was successfully held yesterday, 24th July 2026, at the Grand Harbour.
Organised by the Valletta Cultural Agency with the support of Visit Malta, the spectacle transformed the Grand Harbour into an open-air stage on the water. Sea vessels, music, lights, fountains, lasers, and fireworks came together in a unique experience that celebrated Malta’s maritime heritage and the natural and historical beauty of Valletta.
Thousands of people, families, and tourists gathered for almost three hours along the shore of the Grand Harbour, between Customs House and the Old Fish Market, while others took in the view from vantage points such as the Upper Barrakka Gardens and Saint Barbara Bastion.
The harbour came alive with an animated procession of vessels of all kinds in a striking choreography enhanced by light design, musicians aboard a Maltese luzzu, and enormous fountains dancing on the sea. The evening closed spectacularly with an aerial fireworks display over the water, set against the backdrop of the Three Cities.
Through this event, the Valletta Cultural Agency continues to strengthen its reputation as the organiser of high-calibre outdoor cultural events in the capital. The Valletta Pageant of the Seas stands as a clear example of this vision, further reinforcing Valletta’s profile as a leading cultural destination in the Mediterranean.
