Which Maltese song released between 2005 and 2025 is your favourite?
The Valletta Cultural Agency is inviting the public to take part in L-Aqwa 20 tal-Maltin, a celebration of two decades of Maltese music and the songs that have shaped our recent musical landscape.
Following the success of the first concert, the second special edition will take place as an open-air concert in St George’s Square, Valletta, in May 2027.
Choose your favourite Maltese song
The public can now have their say by voting for their favourite song written and performed in Maltese and released between 2005 and 2025.
Simply visit www.aqwa20.com, browse the eligible songs and cast your vote.
The 20 most popular songs, as selected through the public vote, will then be brought to the stage and performed live by some of Malta’s leading singers, accompanied by a live orchestra under the direction of Maestro Paul Abela.
Your vote is part of the celebration
L-Aqwa 20 tal-Maltin is about bringing these songs together and giving the public the opportunity to help shape the programme of the 2027 concert.
Whether your favourite is a song that brings back a particular memory, one you you love listening to, or simply a piece of Maltese music you believe deserves to be heard again, your vote can help bring it back to the stage.
Voting is open until 30 November 2026.
