Visitors have just a few more days to experience the Valletta Green Festival 2026, which continues to transform the heart of the Capital into a vibrant celebration of nature, creativity and sustainability until Sunday 10th May.

Since opening on 30th April, the festival has delighted hundreds of visitors with spectacular floral installations, immersive green spaces and family-friendly activities across Valletta.

At the entrance to the Capital and in Freedom Square, thousands of colourful flowers guide visitors towards a striking floral centrepiece in front of Parliament. Created by Henry Galea, Jason Zerafa and Ryan Pillow, the installation blends contemporary floral artistry with traditional Maltese design, creating one of Valletta’s most photographed attractions this spring.

Meanwhile, St George’s Square has been transformed into a magical urban garden by Derek Garden Centre. Featuring towering trees, Mediterranean plants, rare specimens and tranquil water features, the installation offers visitors a peaceful green oasis in the centre of the city.

The festival also places a strong focus on sustainability and environmental awareness through educational initiatives, interactive garden experiences and a daily Eco Market along Old Theatre Street showcasing sustainable and locally made products.

Families visiting during the final weekend can also enjoy free face painting and children’s workshops, including pebble art and upcycled crafts, taking place on the 9th and 10th May between 11am and 2pm.

This year’s programme includes participation from Derek Garden Centre, ERA, Project Green, Ambjent Malta, Circular Economy Malta and Wasteserv.

Coinciding with Mother’s Day weekend, the Valletta Green Festival offers the perfect opportunity for families and visitors to enjoy one of Malta’s most unique springtime experiences before it comes to an end.
