The Valletta Cultural Agency proudly presents Kristu Lura fi Strada Stretta<\/em>, a lent-themed play by Carlos Farrugia and Joseph Galea. Marking its 10th anniversary, this acclaimed production returns to its original setting in Strada Stretta, bringing back its intimate and immersive spirit.<\/p>\n

Staged at The Splendid from the 11th to the 19th of April 2025, the play follows a scriptwriter who, during Holy Week in the mid-70s, stops for a beer at a bar in Strada Stretta. What begins as a casual moment quickly takes an unexpected turn, unfolding into a gripping narrative that delves into faith, introspection, and human connection\u2014hallmarks of Farrugia\u2019s and Galea\u2019s storytelling.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition brings an added layer of surprise, transforming Valletta\u2019s historic heart into a living stage where past and present blur. As the familiar streets take on new meaning, audiences will find themselves immersed in a performance that is both thought-provoking and deeply evocative.<\/p>\n

Supported by Arts Council Malta, Kristu Lura fi Strada Stretta<\/em> promises a theatre experience unlike any other.<\/p>\n
