{"id":32794,"date":"2024-02-23T11:00:10","date_gmt":"2024-02-23T11:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vca.gov.mt\/?post_type=etn&#038;p=32794"},"modified":"2024-06-24T13:05:56","modified_gmt":"2024-06-24T13:05:56","slug":"valletta-pageant-of-the-seas-3","status":"publish","type":"etn","link":"https:\/\/vca.gov.mt\/en\/events\/valletta-pageant-of-the-seas-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Valletta Pageant of the Seas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This exciting biannual event returns to the Grand Harbour on the 22nd June 2024, with a grand show that has now become synonymous with the Valletta Cultural Agency.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s show, themed \u201cSave the Sea\u201d, features an animated narrative complemented by an original score, a water fountain and fireworks, sure to light up the Grand Harbour in typical Valletta Pageant of the Seas fashion!<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/r7LjBeEMJ8g?si=458CZ0Bb7i7qyxwV\" width=\"1000\" height=\"900\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Among the highlights of the evening, commencing at 9PM, is a breathtaking original musical score by none other than talented Maltese musician Cyprian Cassar.<\/p>\n<p>To accompany the beautiful music, 80 traditional Maltese boats will parade around the Grand Harbour in a colourful pageant, while Fort St Angelo acts as a background for the whole show, displaying animations created by Mad About Video, based on a script written by Jean Pierre Magro.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_-JQVYARg8Y?si=VAoD17bK_jyV2-4s\" width=\"1000\" height=\"900\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>And for the ultimate highlight of the evening, a stunning synchronized water fountain show in the middle of the Grand Harbour by Aquatique Show, renowned for their work in the opening act of the Qatar World Cup in 2022. The moving fountain will be synchronized with Cyprian Cassar\u2019s musical composition, as well as with pyrotechnics by Jason Busuttil.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1l1uNZB5zFc?si=5Sx7wIG9PPaGOypg\" width=\"1000\" height=\"900\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Make sure to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot and immerse yourself in the beauty and grandeur of this unique event.
