Between the 25th and the 28th of June, on the eve of a public holiday, the Valletta Cultural Agency will be organising a series of open-air film screenings over four nights at Laparelli Garden in Valletta, underneath the city\u2019s Main Gate, which was inaugurated in 2018 for the European Capital of Culture year. These film screenings are suitable for the whole family and admission is free for all.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The films that will be shown are Jurassic World (Thursday, 25th June), World War Z (Friday, 26th June), The Greatest Showman (Saturday, 27th June), 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi and Captain Phillips (Sunday, 28th June). Movies start at 8.30pm. World War Z, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi and Captain Phillips are all films which share a special connection with our Capital City, having scenes shot in Malta and in the streets of Valletta.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The main entrance to Cinema City in Laparelli Garden is via the stairs and lift located next to the Parliament building. Those who are using their car can park in St James\u2019 Ditch and Laparelli Garden, the entrance to which is from Great Siege Road. Admission is free, however there will be a limited number of seats. Therefore, those wishing to attend must obtain a ticket from the office of the Valletta Cultural Agency, the Ministry for Tourism or the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government. Tickets will be available on a \u2018first come, first served\u2019 basis.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

During the same days there will also be a parade of artistic costumes along the main streets of Valletta, between 6pm and 8pm. The public is invited to visit the streets of the City before attending the film screenings at Laparelli Gardens to admire these colorful costumes.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
