The end of 2024 is only a few weeks away and everything is ready to close off this year with a bang in Valletta. Today, Minister for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici and Valletta Cultural Agency Chairman Jason Micallef announced this much awaited event in St George’s Square.
This is the biggest end of year event in Malta, to which 50,000 people are expected to attend. Several famous local artists will be taking part in this celebration.
Valletta Cultural Agency Jason Micallef said he is honoured that once again the largest free New Year’s Eve celebrations ever staged in Malta will be taking place at the heart of Valletta. Jason Micallef extended an invitation to the public, urging them to visit our Capital City on New Year’s Eve. Attendees are encouraged to partake in the festivities, relishing a delightful ambiance filled with joy and music. “Together, let’s bid farewell to the current year and usher in the new one with warmth and celebration”, concluded Micallef.
Ira Losco, The Red Electric, Shaun Farrugia and Kevin Paul will be performing at the event, showcasing some of their greatest hits alongside timeless classics.
As the night reaches its climax, audiences will be treated to a special performance by the internationally renowned artist CASCADA. Known for chart-topping hits such as “Evacuate the Dancefloor”, “Everytime We Touch”, and many more, CASCADA is set to deliver an unforgettable show.
A spectacular aerial fireworks display over the Grand Harbour will light up the sky at midnight. Just before countdown our hosts, together with and DJ Koroma & DJ Miggy will entertain the crowd in Valletta and live on local TV stations with a special mash-up set of the best dance anthems together with stage special effects and fireworks to welcome the New Year in style. Dj D-REY will be closing the night.

The Valletta National New Year’s Eve Celebration is organised by G7 Events and supported by a Partnership Agreement for Large-Scale Events and Initiatives provided by the Valletta Cultural Agency within the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government. This event is also supported by the Malta Tourism Authority.
