The Valletta Design Cluster will host a free workshop on behalf of the EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hub, themed ‘Sharing a Green Travel Plan Culture’. The workshop will be held on Friday 18th November 2022 between 13:00 and 16:30.
Given its theme, the workshop will offer information and support to both public and private entities that are willing to move towards more sustainable mobility-related operations. Participating organisations will discuss a wide range of topics such as logistics, the well-being of their employees and the collaboration needed with all stakeholders for successful shared mobility-related systems.
The event is centred around a roundtable discussion on sustainable mobility and the implementation of a green travel plan, during which mobility experts, representatives of local authorities and Green Travel Plan coordinators will share their input. This will be followed by a workshop to give participants practical tips on how to implement their Green Travel Plan.
The EIT Urban Mobility Malta RIS Hub is supported by EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), which is a body of the European Union. EIT was set up as part of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), the EIT Community’s outreach scheme. The Malta Hub is led by Project Aegle Foundation, the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) and the Valletta Cultural Agency through the Valletta Design Cluster (VDC), to nurture sustainable visions for better urban mobility in the Maltese Islands.
The event ties in perfectly with Malta’s efforts to improve people’s mobility in terms of infrastructure and services.
