Everything is set to end 2024 in style tomorrow in Valletta. Today, Minister for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici, Chairman of the Valletta Cultural Agency Jason Micallef and Valletta Mayor Olaf McKay announced the latest news about this much-anticipated event in St George’s Square. This is the biggest end-of-year event in Malta, with over 50,000 people expected to attend and several established local and international artists set to perform.

Chairman of the Valletta Cultural Agency Jason Micallef said that this Christmas season was the biggest ever for the Valletta Cultural Agency, with record numbers of people visiting the city and enjoying the activities we have prepared for them. Tomorrow’s New Year’s Eve celebrations, which are also expected to be among the biggest ever, will close this season on a high note.
Mayor of Valletta Olad McKay expressed his enthusiasm as this was his first Christmas season as Mayor of Valletta and encouraged everyone attending tomorrow’s Celebrations in St George’s Square to make use of the various alternative means of transport, including public transport and the ferry.
New Year’s Eve celebrations will feature Ira Losco, The Red Electric, Shaun Farrugia and Kevin Paul. These artists will be giving us some of their best songs.
The highlight of the New Year’s Eve celebrations will be the internationally renowned artist CASCADA. CASCADA is known to many for their hugely popular songs such as “Evacuate the Dancefloor”, “Everytime we touch” and many others.
At the stroke of midnight there will be a grand fireworks display in the Grand Harbour. In St George’s Square, the presenters, along with Dj Koroma and Dj Miggy, will be entertaining the crowd in Valletta and those watching live on local television stations, with great music, special effects on stage and fireworks to give a fitting start to the year 2025. The evening will then be closed by Dj D-REY.

The National New Year’s Eve Celebration in Valletta is organised by G7 Events under a Partnership Agreement for Large-Scale Events and Initiatives with the Valletta Cultural Agency within the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government. This event is supported by the Malta Tourism Authority.
