The coloured fibreglass designs create beautiful shadows throughout the day while 4,000 individually controlled bulbs light up the installation in the evening. The installation was inspired by the architecture and intricate flower designs on buildings in South Street.
The Covid 19 Pandemic made us realise more the need to connect with and explore nature. Due to the urbanisation of towns and villages and also the amount of time people had to isolate or keep social distancing, the need to bring nature closer to us started to arise.
Titled ‘Rainbow Street’, the installation celebrates the power of art in public places, immersing passers-by into a fun and colourful vibe. Inspired by the architecture of Valletta, light artist, Carl Caruana created a hanging exhibition that immerses visitors into a colourful world of lights and colours.
This installation can be enjoyed until the end of September.
