The Malta Fashion Week returns with a full week of events, including The Malta Fashion Awards, in celebration of the event’s 25th anniversary.
Taking place between the 3rd and 10th July at the enchanting Biskuttin Gardens and Pjazza Tritoni in Valletta, the annual fashion event is sure to transform Valletta into an immersive destination of fashion, culture, and beauty solidifying Malta as a premier fashion and tourism destination. The events will bring together a diverse community of fashion enthusiasts in what we see as a celebration of creativity, style, and cultural heritage.
This was announced during a news briefing by the Minister for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici, the Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo, Valletta Cultural Agency Chairman Jason Micallef and Malta Fashion Week Founder and Producer, Adrian J. Mizzi.
Minister Owen Bonnici spoke about the importance of dynamic culture and how the Malta Fashion Week touches all niches of the creative economy. He reiterated that this event is part of our island’s cultural calendar and that the government is determined to continue working with the private sector in creating more platforms for local talent.
Minister Clayton Bartolo pointed out “The demands of today’s tourists are mainly linked to a quality and diversified tourist experience. Therefore we need to continue to incentivize activities such as the Malta Fashion Week, held over a number of days, offering the opportunity for tourists with a love for the world of fashion to experience the potential of Maltese talent in this sector,” Minister Clayton Bartolo continued to say.
This year we also celebrate 25 years since the inception of the Malta Fashion Awards, a dream and vision set in motion by Adrian J Mizzi that helped to give birth and continues to fuel the local fashion scene and industry. Located at the entrance to our Capital City, the Biskuttin
