We’re looking for hands-on creators, problem-solvers, and fixers to help bring broken objects back to life at our Repair Café. As a Tinkering Day volunteer, you’ll work alongside like-minded makers, guide participants in repair techniques, and contribute to a community that values sustainability and craftsmanship.
Sign up today and be part of something truly hands-on!
Applications close on the 24th March.
The Amateur 3D Design Competition powered by Invent 3D which is also being organised as part of Tinkering Day, invites creative minds to take on one of three fun challenges and design a 3D-printable object that solves a common everyday problem. Whether it’s a clever home gadget, a handy gaming accessory, or a simple solution to an everyday frustration, this competition is all about practical creativity. Participants are asked to submit a 3D model file (.STL) along with a short description explaining how their design makes life easier. All entries should be suitable for FDM printing—so minimal supports, no extreme overhangs, and easy to print. The top five winning designs will each receive a 3D-printed version of their object, courtesy of Invent 3D, and will be selected based on creativity, practicality, and printability.
Submit your design by midnight on Monday 5th May to vdc@vca.gov.mt and bring your idea to life!
