CONCERT BY JOSÉ CURA

02/10/2022 - 05/10/2022

CONCERT BY JOSÉ CURA

His warm voice and magnetic stage presence make José Cura one of the most appealing and sought-after artists in the world. From Milan to Vienna, from New York to Buenos Aires, from Melbourne to London, he has sung the most demanding operatic roles in the most emblematic stages around the globe. Experts consider there is a before and after for roles like Otello, Samson, Cavaradossi, Calaf, Peter Grimes and Tannhäuser since their interpretation by Maestro Cura.

An all-rounded musician, Cura is also a renowned conductor and an accomplished composer, as well as an internationally recognised stage director. In this concert, accompanied by pianist Sofia Narmania, he will perform a wide range of songs from his homeland Argentina, as well as one of his own compositions, a song cycle based on Pablo Neruda’s poetry. Written between 1995 and 2006, Si muero, sobrevíveme! (If I die, survive me!) will also feature renowned Maltese actress Jane Marshall who, with her 5 decades of experience on the stage, will bring Neruda’s wife Matilde Urrutia to life.
