Join Us for Two Exclusive Easter Performances at Teatru Manoel
Teatru Manoel and the Valletta Cultural Agency present A Dream is a Wish with two exclusive live performances by The Place String Orchestra, on Easter weekend – Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st March, at 6pm.
Movie and music lovers of all ages are invited to the national theatre for a night of live music from some of the most iconic family movies of all time.
The artist line-up includes Tezara Saliba, Francesco Nicodeme, Michaela Agius, Clara Sciberras, Noel Zarb, Paolo Micallef, Bettina Zammit, and some very, very special surprise guests. Led by Ryan Paul Abela alongside direction and vocal arrangements by Kate Fenech Field, The Palace String Orchestra takes audiences on a journey through time. The annual TOI TOI Easter Concert is a special treat for people of all ages featuring music by Alan Menken, Pasek & Paul, Phil Collins, Lin Manuel Miranda and many more.
A Dream is A Wish is packed full of singalong moments showcasing music from family-favourite films, you’ll be whisked from castles to fjords, islands to jungles and a diversion through a chocolate factory thrown in for good measure!
TOI TOI Learning & Participation Manager, Kate Fenech Field says, “It’s a great introduction to orchestral instruments, something which we hope helps to encourage more people to take up and learn to play themselves. Our programme actively encourages our audience to participate in special moments throughout our shows and we love to see people of all ages enjoying singing along with their favourite songs. The whole programme strongly advocates singing for your mental and physical wellbeing,” continued Fenech Field.
Performances are happening on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st March at 6 pm, with tickets prices ranging from €12to €20.
A Dream is A Wish is taking place on the occasion o maltabiennale.art 2024, in collaboration with the Valletta Cultural Agency with the support of Bank of Valletta.
