To commemorate 400 years since Shakespeare’s First Folio, the Victoria International Arts Festival is partnering with the University of Malta’s Department of English and the Valletta Cultural Agency, to host foremost Shakespearean scholar Prof. Greg Walker from the University of Edinburgh. He will deliver an engaging talk on “Shakespeare’s Clowns.”

This event is scheduled for Wednesday, 29th November 2023 at 6:30pm at the Casino Maltese in Valletta.

The talk will be enhanced by a performance of a selection of Shakespeare’s songs as found in his plays. The UK’s current top soprano, Sophie Bevan MBE, who holds a residency at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden will be performing accompanied on the piano by Francis Camilleri.
