‘Urban Melody’ part of TNAX photo exhibition

Dragna Rankovic’s Urban Melody, which is part of the year-long exhibition TNAX, will be on display for a month between 1 March and 4 April.

Shot in January 2019, the photo was the start of an experiment of creating multi-exposure images. With Valletta being such an iconic place with the most amazing architecture, it is a great place to express multi-exposure photography.

TNAX is curated by Therese Debono – a documentary photographer covering places, the streets and portraiture: endangered places, local interiors, and documentary portraiture are amongst the subjects she explores and interprets.

Rankovic was born in Sweden to Serbian parents and was always curious about exploring more. Having studied film and printing at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC and following years of travel during which the camera was her companion, she has been settled in Malta for the past seven years where she is running a photo studio with other creatives and building a photography business.

This project is created and produced by the Valletta Cultural Agency in collaboration with the Valletta Local Council.
