From the 8th till the 24th December, Blind Date with a Book provides wrapped books in telephone booths as gifts for passers-by to encourage readers to experiment with books they would not normally borrow or purchase. This is part of a global initiative promoting literature and Maltese writers. This initiative continues to raise awareness and appreciation of Maltese literature and writers.

This event is part of the Valletta Cultural Agency’s Christmas in the City programme, taking place from the 8th till the 24th December in the main squares, strategic locations and the quaint streets of Valletta. Christmas lights and decorations can continue to be enjoyed throughout January.
